An American pickle.

An immigrant worker at a pickle factory is accidentally preserved for 100 years and wakes up in modern day Brooklyn. He learns his only surviving relative is his great grandson, a computer coder who he can't connect with. Anchored by Seth Rogen who plays the dual lead roles of a 1920 immigrant and his modern-day great-grandson, skilfully balancing charm and melancholy in a performance that has been critically received as a understated accomplishment. Based on the four-part serialised New Yorker short story, Sell Out, by Simon Rich (Saturday Night Live), who also adapts the film's screenplay.
