As the War of the Roses begins, Stradford upperclassmen hope to acquire personal servants known as "fags" to raise their standing in battle. Naturally, the brilliant William assumes he will be overwhelmed with people wanting to serve him...but no one seems remotely interested. Just as William begins to panic, a strange boy offers his loyalty.
