The Last Australian Childhood, written by Kevin Moloney, is a collection of 40 vignettes written in the different voices of a child, reflecting his age at the time the story is set. The stories tell of Kevin's family life, growing up in suburban Melbourne in the 1960s as a Catholic boy who lost his father at the age of 11 and his mother at 17.
