Note A trio of Maitland councillors have spoken to youths wandering a troubled Rutherford neighbourhood as residents continue to fear for their safety. Cr Steve Procter led a contingent including the mayor of Maitland, Cr Peter Blackmore, and Cr Peter Garnham in a late-night tour of the Rutherford shopping centre and neighbouring Arthur, Neville, Pearson and Thompson streets on Wednesday night in response to residents’ reports of intimidation and violence.
