Two Miami cops, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett need to protect Julie Mott, who witnessed her friend Maxine's murder. Simultaneously the cops are investigating the theft of 100 million dollars of heroin from the evidence lockup at the police headquarters basement. This was their biggest drug bust ever and puts them on the trail of Fouchet, a Swiss drug lord, who leaves a trail of bodies in his wake as he tries to eliminate the witness and her two 'homeboy' bodyguards. The movie is packed with high-energy action and rapid-fire comedy.
