April 1964. Inspector Bordelli's friend, Casimiro, insists that he's just found the body of a man in an olive grove above Fiesole. The inspector races to the scene, but finds no sign of a corpse. A couple of days later, a little girl is discovered at Villa Ventaglio, strangled and with a horrible bite mark on her belly. Then another little girl is found murdered, with the same macabre signature. And meanwhile Casimiro has disappeared without a trace.
